Decarbonize your clinker now - save money while saving the world !

Decarbonizing clinker has many financial benefits beyond just lowering your carbon emissions. No matter what happens during the next decade, clinker will still be made. Reducing the carbon footprint of clinker often has the spin-off benefits of reducing costs as well.

Here is how !

This was the subject of a full day of training at the Global FutureCem conference in Munich in January 2026. This material is now available for purchase including all training materials and spreadsheets that define how much CO2 reduction you can obtain as well as the associated cost savings.

Current and future operating costs savings are predicted as well as future CAPEX and OPEX for a carbon capture system. The lower the clinker CO2 level, the lower the CAPEX and OPEX of the carbon capture plant.

You get all twelve (12) presentations in full slide size and color, PDF format. You also receive the Excel spreadsheets for calculating your CO2 reductions and potential cost savings.

Burning Zone Temperature - calculates the required burning zone temperature based on the raw mix chemistry and includes mineralizers. The spreadsheet calculates the heat consumption impact of raw mix changes.

Carbon Reduction Workshop Summary – Summarizes all of the levers that the plant can use to reduce Scope 1 and 2 carbon emissions. It calculates the total CO2 reductions and operating cost savings as well as projecting the potential Capex and Opex savings of a CCUS plant.

Clinker Chemistry – Calculates the CO2 and SHC consumption changes based on CaCO3 content of the raw mix.

Kiln Feed Uniformity – Calculates the heat consumption and fuel cost savings that come from improving the kiln feed uniformity. Reducing the heat consumption also reduces CO2 emissions as well as fuel costs.

Carbon Capture Workshop Summary – Combines all of the individual components in one overall cost savings sheet that provides the total impact on heat and power consumption and costs. The total CO2 reductions expected and the impacts on the CAPEX and OPEX of a future CO2 capture system.
